Catalog

Gates resources for belts, pulleys and replacement programs.

Minimal access to CAD files, datasheets, installation manuals and cross-reference notes.

CAD Library

STEP, IGES and DWG geometry for pulley envelopes, guard clearance and assembly planning. Use these files for layout checks, then confirm final pulley profile and belt width with the datasheet. CAD is most useful when the engineer already knows shaft spacing, pulley tooth count and guard clearance. It is not a substitute for tension review, but it prevents late-stage mechanical conflicts around motor base plates, guards and adjacent machine frames.

Datasheets

Family sheets for Poly Chain GT Carbon, PowerGrip GT3, Quad-Power, Micro-V and RPM belts. Records include pitch, width, effective length, installation notes and environmental cautions. Datasheets also help procurement teams distinguish an exact replacement from an acceptable alternate. When a belt part number has regional suffixes, old catalog language or a distributor cross reference, the datasheet becomes the controlled source for the next order.

Installation Manuals

Tensioning, alignment, pulley inspection, storage and guard access notes for maintenance teams. Manuals are written to reduce repeat failures caused by incorrect installation practice. A belt that is technically correct can still fail early if static tension is guessed, pulleys are worn, grooves are contaminated or the drive is forced into service before alignment is checked. Manual review is therefore part of the selection path, not an afterthought.

DesignFlex Pro Inputs

A structured input list for torque, rpm, center distance, service factor, pulley count and ambient temperature. Use it before asking for a formal recommendation. The best input package includes machine type, daily starts, shock load, duty cycle, desired service interval and whether the design target is compact torque density, low maintenance, quiet running or a direct MRO replacement. Clear inputs keep the response short and practical.
